Yogi Govt. Officially Announced Annapurna Bjojanalya Yojana for Poor in UP
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has officially announced the Annapurna Bjojanalya Yojana today. After becoming CM of Uttar Pradesh he had promised to provide low-cost food to the poor people in the state. He also said that everyone will be given low-cost food at the cost of Rs. 5.
The Chief Minister has announced this scheme through the twitter and said that the scheme was launched with aim to ensuring no anyone will live hungry in the state. The Annapurna Bhojanalya will serve unlimited portions
Under the scheme, the breakfast will be provided at the cost of Rs. 3 while lunch and dinner will be provided at the cost of Rs. 5. The breakfast will contains porridge, tea and pakoras and poha (beaten rice) while lunch and dinner includes rice, roti, dal and seasonal vegetables. Currently, a basic plan has been draft.
For the proper implementation of the scheme, the yogi government has started the work process of the scheme, by the formal launch will take a few more weeks.
About 200 subsidized kitchens are being identified across the state in urban and semi-urban areas to provide the benefits of the scheme. The yogi government is expected to serve a lot of migrant labour in cities like capital Lucknow, most of them from eastern UP and the Nepal Terai belt, who mostly live on the road and cook there too.
