The state Government of Kerala has come up with the scheme for caregivers of physically and mentally disabled bed-ridden patients called Aswasakiranam Scheme. The government intentionally started this scheme for caregivers who are family members or relatives of the bedridden patients, as they are not in a position to take up employment for self. In this scheme, the government intends to provide monthly financial assistance for caregivers of all bed-ridden patients who needs a constant caretaker.
State Government of Kerala has come up with a noble initiative called Snehapoorvam Scholarship Scheme. Approximately 75,000 children below 18 years of age are living in orphanages and near about 1500 orphanages are functioning in Kerala.Most of the children’s have families and relatives but most of them lost their parents due to various reasons.The main objective of the scheme is to identify the orphaned children in the community.
The state Government of Kerala in association with Social Justice Department has launched a Financial Assistance Scheme for Blind & Orthopedically Handicapped Advocates. In this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to advocates who are blind & Orthopedically Handicapped.In the past few years, positive changes happening in the perception of the society towards persons with disabilities.
Kerala Educational Assistance Scheme
The state Government of Kerala (Social Justice Department) introduced a new scheme called Educational Assistance Scheme for Children of Women Headed Families to help women headed families. Kerala is known as god’s heaven country & the initiative taken by Kerala Government which is already appreciated for the literacy rate and Women Headed Families life makes easy with this kind of scheme Government provides financial assistance to women headed families to provide their families better life.
Nutrition Supplement Scheme
Nutrition Supplement Scheme: This scheme started in December 2008 to control HIV and help those people who are living with the HIV. Under this scheme, the government provides supplements to the women & children’s who are suffering and living with the HIV. Nutrition Supplement to HIV-affected Women and Children scheme is launched by the Social Justice Department (Government of Kerala) with an aims to provide Supplement to the women & children’s who are living with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus).
