Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Plus Yojana

According to MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Plus Yojana will be announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 to provide cooking gas connection to BPL families which is identified after 2011 till 2016.

He said that all the BPL families which are identified till 2011 were eligible to get connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. In both the scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Plus Yojana, the government will provide Cooking gas Cylinder, stove and Pipe to BPL families.

In Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, 40,000 BPL families were eligible to get the connection till date under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, said by Mr Kateel. Total 4,000 gas connection has been provided to the BPL families by the government in the district.

He also said that a conclave has been held in Buntara Bhavana on NH 75 near B.C Road at 11 AM on Sunday to the beneficiaries. In the conclave, a training session has been provided by the government on the safe use of cooking and information on the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Plus Yojana also has been provided.
