Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana launched in Assam – Apply Online
In Majuli, Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana on Sunday. In the ceremony, Chief Minister distributed LPG connection to selected beneficiaries. About 16,000 Majuli families which are under BPL will be benefited in the scheme.
Chief Minister also launched an Android Mobile App for disseminating information on Satriya culture, Missing culture, carbon registry, information on hotels, transport, lodges, car mechanic, car rentals and all information regarding district administration, etc., of Majuli.
In the launching ceremony of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Chief Minister said: “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana realizes PM Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering underprivileged women, especially in rural areas by providing a clean and safe environment.”
Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones of Majuli and Jengrai- Haldhibari roads in Maujali. The total length of the is 16.20 km. He said, “The up gradation works of the two roads will greatly boost connectivity.”
The Chief Minister also felicitated the rank holders, Distinction, and star mark holders HSCL and HS candidates at the Majuli College Auditorium on Saturday. In the ceremony, Chief Minister said, “It fills me with great pride to see students of my constituency shine in all spheres.”
While addressing the student he said that the Majuli will be a model of spiritual and intellectual development for entire Assam. He requested students to monitor all development scheme in the district for the betterment of the district. He also said that Go ahead with hard work.
