Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana get launched in Chhattisgarh

Good news for the home needy people of Chhattisgarh that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been finally launched in the state by the Chief Minister -” Dr Raman Singh” of the state. Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing units will be constructed for over six lakh houseless people in Chhattisgarh in next three years under Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme.He also laid foundation stone for 27 development works worth Rs 32.33 crore. Upto 10,624 flats will be constructed in Gariaband District of Chattishgarh according to Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.

On the occasion of launch of the PMAY scheme in state chief minister also distributed house sanction letters to 5,400 house-less families He said that state government has hiked the labour charges from existing Rs 1,500 per standard sack to Rs 1,800 per standard.

Launching the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojna (PMGAY) in Gariaband district, the Chief Minister said very soon Kendriya Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalaya will be started in Gariaband district. The Chief Minister distributed house sanction letters to 5400 families under the PMGAY scheme. He also distributed a total of Rs 83.81 lakh worth materials and cheques to over 10,000 beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister said under Saur Sujla Scheme state government is providing solar irrigation pumps to 51,000 farmers and announced that the state government will sanction another 1000 solar irrigations pumps for farmers in Gariaband district. The Chief Minister on the occasion dedicated and laid foundation stone for 27 development works worth Rs 32.33 crore which included dedication of 17 development works worth Rs 6.86 crore and laying of foundation stone for 10 development works worth Rs 25.37 crore. He dedicated a government college building built at a cost of Rs 2.13 crore in Fingeshwar and announced that the college will be named after Bhagwan Fanikeshwarnath.
The Chief Minister said the Gariaband district came into existence in 2012 and since then it has touched new heights of development. The Chief Minister informed about various development and welfare schemes launched by the government. Present on the occasion were Panchayat Minister Ajay Chandrakar, Women and Child Welfare Minister Ramsheela Sahu, MP Chandulal Sahu, Rajim MLA Santosh Upadhyay and large number of public representatives.
