The residents of Roorkee, Uttrakhand who do not have applied for PM Awas Yojana Roorkee till now are hereby given a final opportunity to fill the PMAY application forms till 28 May. A special camp has been conducted in the corporation after the ward-wise survey and registration of the beneficiaries. Here a large number of people are reaching for filling the application forms of PM Awas Yojana Roorkee.
The main motto of the Indian Government under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide ‘housing for All’ by 2022.
For this, the beneficiaries are being identified through bodies. The survey in the Roorkee Nagar area was started on 2 January 2017. For the first phase, ward 1 to 10 was selected by the Out-Sourcing Company Devishi Educational Society.
There were a survey and form to be filled up till January 8. After that, the campaign was to run from wards 11 to 20 and from 9 to 16 January in the 21 to 28 wards from 17 to 23 January. As soon as the campaign got momentum, the Model Code of Conduct was started on 4th January 2017. With this, the campaign was also braked.
As per the Corporation officials, there is a provision of bank loans, grants etc. to provide housing to the people under the scheme. The Code of Conduct was ended on March 15, but due to March closing, the work of re-surveying and formation was not started. Since April 8, the ward-wise campaign has been run.
The project manager of Roorkee Mr. Varun Malhotra, said that the survey was completed on May 12. However, many people were left out to fill the form. In view of this, the Corporation administration has now fixed the date for filling up the form till May 28.
Under PrM Awas Yojana Roorkee, finacial assistance of 1.25 lakh to 1.50 lakh to the people having annual income upto 3 lakh and a bank loan of upto 6 lakh to the people having annual income 3 to 6 lakh under Credit Linked subsidy Scheme. There is also a provision of a concession of upto 2 lakh under this scheme.
