In order to provide affordable housing in the state, Haryana government has decided to start a demand survey to identify beneficiaries for providing affordable houses under PM Awas Yojana Haryana (PMAY), who are living in urban areas in the state.
In this regard, a decision was taken at a meeting of the Urban Local Bodies department under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. According to the meeting decisions, the Haryana government has also decided that only those people will be eligible to participate in the survey who are living in urban areas and were residents of the state as on June 17, 2015.
As per the decision, only those people would be eligible for credit linked subsidy and affordable houses in the state, who are living in urban areas and belongs to the economically weaker sections, low-income group and medium income group of the society.
How will Eligible for PM Awas Yojana Haryana Demand Survey:
- In order to apply for PM Awas Yojana – Housing For All, the applicant must have Aadhar Card and a Bank Account
- The applicant or his family members should not have any pucca houses in anywhere in the state.
- The applicants who have not taken any benefit under Central or State Government Housing Scheme. In this case, they would be eligible to avail the benefits of PMAY.
PM Awas Yojana – Housing For All by 2022 Mission was launched by the Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modi in June 2015. This scheme was launched with an aim of providing housing for all both Rural & Urban areas people who are living in mud houses or homeless across the country.
The good thing is that the PM Awas Yojana Haryana Demand Survey will be started will be very soon and the government is expected to the achieve the target of providing housing for all.
