Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana. This is the mass marriage scheme. Under the scheme, the state government will spend Rs 35,000 on the each couple along with household items and a mobile phone.
The Social Welfare Department will conduct the mass marriage scheme under the Mulkhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana. The mass marriage will be organized by the urban local body such as Nagar panchayat, Nagar Nigam, Nagar Palika, kshetra panchayat, Zila panchayat, government/semi-government organization and respective district magistrate authorized NGO.
Eligibility of the Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana
- The parents of the bride should be the residence of Uttar Pradesh.
- The parent of should be below poverty line.
- The age of bridge must be at least 18 years and above.
Who will be benefitted in Mukhyamantri Samoohik Vivaah Yojana
- The girl whose parent is below the poverty line.
- The widow and divorced women also will be covered in the scheme.
The mass marriage ceremony will be organized with at least 10 couple. The state government will spend Rs 35,000 each of the couples and mobile phone and the household item will be given.
The chief minister led state cabinet also approved Uttar Pradesh Aadhaar Bill-2017 (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services).
The government of Uttar Pradesh also announced a scheme for students, in this scheme the state government will give a pair of shoe (one set), a pair of socks (two sets) and a sweater to the government school student of primary (1 to 5) and upper primary (6 to 8) schools.
Under the scheme about 1,48,49,145 student will be benefitted, the government will purchase a pair shoe at Rs 135.75 and a pair of shocks at Rs 21.85. The scheme will boost the child education ratio in the state which is far below than national ratio.
