Know about Smart India Hackathon 2017: 10,000 students to develop digital solutions

Attendance of Teachers and students has always been a big issue in the country.So  first time in the country Real-time monitoring of teachers’ attendance and GPS mapping of schools in rural areas will be launched. This process can soon be reality. As Smart India Hackathon is going to be start soon.In this event about 10,000 engineering and management students from across the country would produce digital solutions for these problems in the form of mobile/computer applications and software programmes.

Know about Smart India Hackathon 2017

The event  is a very famous event of country . The participants that will take part under this will be  drawn from 29 institutions, In the event these  at least 598 serious problems the people face on day-to-day basis  will be addressed to these students and will ask to find solutions for these problems.

List of Problems to be discussed

The problems that will be discussed includes geo-fencing of airports, online toll collection, smart/intelligent traffic management, cyber attacks, real-time monitoring of teachers’ attendance and of cyber attacks, smart drones to make airspace safer and title recognition system for marine animals.

Prize of Smart India Hackathon 2017

“Multiple prizes worth Rs 50 lakh for students have been set for winners, These prizes will be distributed during Grand Finale. NASSCOM and other funding agencies like AICTE, DST, DBT and ICMR to select best ideas and support them to convert into start-ups will be also presented at that time.

26 Cities selected for Smart India Hackathon 2017

 

‘Grand Finale’ of Smart India Hackathon 2017 will be organised simultaneously across 26 different cities  across the country . Smart India Hackathon 2017 winners will get support for converting their ideas into startups apart from cash prizes. Also for more information 26 workshops has also been created in these 26 cities.
