Khoya Paya Web Portal – The Central Government of India has launched a new portal for lost and found children named Khoya Paya Web Portal. The main motto behind launching this portal is to provide information about missing of lost and found children. The Khoya Paya web portal is a citizen based portal in order to exchange information of missing and found children.
The Khoya Paya Web Portal has been developed by Women and Child Development Ministry and the of Electronics and Information Technology Department (DeitY). It was launched on June, 02, 2015 by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt Menka Sanjay Gandhi.
Procedure for Reporting On Khoya Paya Web Portal
On this portal, you can register following reports –
- missing children
- Found children.
- The reporting can be registered through text, photographs, videos and other means of transmitting and uploading information to the KhoyaPaya site.
According to the figures from the National Crime Records Bureau, In India, about 70,000 children go missing every year. Out of which only 73,597 children have been traced to the time period of January 2012 and April 2015.
KhoyaPaya web portal is made for the missing and vulnerable children. On this portal, any citizen can register and can provide information about a missing or sighted child, without waiting for completing the legal formalities. The information provided by the citizen would be public after quick moderation, thereby saving the valuable time. Citizens can search the database of the children by matching the attributes of the lost/sighted child. Thus by this, the time will be automatically reduced for the relevant information to reach the affected citizen. The mobile app facilitates the user in providing details of sighted children.
