Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana: The Gujarat government has introduced a new scheme for workers working in the construction sector. Under this, the laborers working in the state’s manufacturing sector will be given the subsidized food subsidy of Rs 10. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani gave this information on Sunday.
CM said, “The name of the scheme will be the Shramik Annapurna Yojana. Under this, the laborers working in the construction sector will get roti, vegetables, and pulses for 10 rupees. Though its cost is 30 rupees, but the government will make it available in 10 rupees. A subsidy of 20 rupees will be given on this. Rupani said that for the implementation of this scheme the state has allocated Rs. 50 crores in the budget.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chauhan government had introduced ‘Amma Canteen’, DeenDayal Kitchen Scheme and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha. Recently, planning to start the Annapurna Restaurant started in BJP in UP, in which only 3 rupees would be given breakfast and 5 rupees for food.
