Contributory Pension Scheme boosted with Rs.2000 for Journalists in Kerala
Good News – Under the Contributory Pension Scheme State government of Kerala has increased the pension for journalists only by RS.2000. An amount of Rs 3 crore has been earmarked for Media Academy and Rs 5 lakh for Kesari Journalsit Trust in the Kerala Budget 2017-18 for Contributory Pension Scheme .
Most government-related communication will go online to ensure transparency. About 20 lakh poor families in the state will be given free Internet. The K-phone project will facilitate internet access at all places and budgetary allocation has been provided for the same. With this initiative, Kerala will become the first state in the country to make internet connection a right for all citizens under Contributory Pension Scheme .
