Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme
The Chhattisgarh Government will launch the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme (CMEGP) on 15 August on the occasion of completion of 5000 days of Raman Singh as a Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. The Scheme will implement for the rural youth of Chhattisgarh. The chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme is running in state level in many states such as Karnataka, Assam, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and. The central government also runs Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme across the country to benefit the people which are implementing by KVIC/KVIB/DIC.
The Board Chairman Krishna Kumar Rai draft the proposal of the scheme and Chief Minister accept the proposal to implement the scheme. Under the Scheme, the government will give the loan to unemployed educated youth to an established industry in the village. According to the Village Industries Department Official, the scheme will boost the handloom weaver of the state. Under the scheme, the government will provide four-month weaving training to financially weaker weavers of the rural in the group of 20 weavers areas to make them more employable.
The Main features of Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme
All fifth standard passed unemployed youth of the state will get the loan up to Rs 1,00000 lakh for employment and eight standards passed youth will get a loan up to Rs 3,00,000 lakh. As per the norms of the scheme, the youth will have to invest only five percent of the investment and rest will be invested by the local bank and youth have to pay only 65 percent of the loan in easy installment.
The government will set up an Apparel Design and a training center at Dharampura village of Bastar district. The government will set up some category to start self-employment business such as Testing laboratory (Including equipment), Design center (Including equipment), Training Centre, Trade & display center, Conferencing and meeting facilities, Warehouse/ raw material depot, packaging unit Canteen and worker hostels and Recreation Centre. In the center training would be provided for the setting up the industrial unit and with training unemployment youth can maintain and grow their business.
