In Karnal, as per the survey conducted in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas yojana (PMAY), 479 application forms have been filled online in different municipal areas till date. In Karnal Urban will start from next Monday.
The survey being done by the state government’s appointed YASHI Consultancy Services Private Limited. It will run until July 15. The staff of the agency will fill the form of all eligible persons with the concerned councilor by placing camp in all the wards. On Thursday, Municipal Commissioner and District Nodal Officer of this scheme Dr. Aditya Dahiya reviewed the video conferencing with the Chief Secretary Anand Mohan Sharan of the Urban Local Bodies Department, Haryana, in the small secretariat located in Sector-12. He said that 129 in Gauronda, 94 in Indri, 67 in Asand, 141 in Nisagar, 42 in Nilokhedi and 6 in Tarawadi municipal areas have been filled online form.
During the survey, the online form will be filled and Aadhar card, Voter ID or other documents will be demanded and applicant’s receiving will be given. After this, the employees of the agency will go to each applicant’s house and take photograph of his house or residence and after completing these formalities, the applicant’s form will be filled online.It will take part in the agency’s District Coordinator Amit Sharma, the Chief Engineer of the Municipal Corporation, EO Dhiraj Kumar, and the secretaries and representatives of all municipalities. In the video conference, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Priyanka Soni, Chief Engineer of the corporation Anil Mehta, EO Dheeraj Kumar, the agency’s district coordinator Amit Sharma, district project officer Praveen Chugh and secretary of all municipalities of the district were present.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, subsidy of 6% annual interest rate up to 6 lakh rupees, 4% up to 6 to 9 lakh, subsidy of 3% annual interest rate on loans up to 9 to 12 lakh will be payable for a period of 15 years. Whereas there is no subsidy in the loan above 12 lakh rupees. New construction and expansion limit for weaker sections is up to maximum 30 square meter area. New construction and expansion limit for the low income category has been kept up to maximum 60 square meter area.
The beneficiary will be provided financial assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh on behalf of the government.
