Akhilesh’s 20% Quota for Minorities Schemes Scraps by Yogi

The UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided to scraps the Samajwadi Party government 20 Percent quota for minority sections in as many as 85 schemes.

The Bhartiya Janta Party announced in the election campaign that the party will end caste-based appeasement in Uttar Pradesh.The former government has given minorities quota in the various scheme but the government will scrap the 20% minorities quota was fixed for 85 schemes during the Samajwadi Party regime.The Yogi Adityanath will stop all another scheme in which minorities quota is given by Akhilesh Yadav.

The deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said,”We are in the process of studying all the schemes. We will continue those which we consider are important but scrap others.”

After taking charge the CM yogi Adityanath reviews all the scheme which is launched by former CM Akhilesh Yadav.The new government also stopped the Akhilesh Yadav dream project – Samajwadi Smartphone Yojana in April.

Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Siddharth Nath Singh had told reporters in Lucknow that Samajwadi word will be dropped from Uttar Pradesh government schemes. Mukhyamantri yojana will be used now. The new Government had also removed the word ‘Samajwadi’ from all government schemes and replaced it with ‘Mukhyamantri‘.

Yogi Adityanath government decided not to distribute about 60 lakh ration cards printed by the previous Akhilesh Yadav government. The government has decided to roll back all the ration card having Akhilesh Yadav’s photographs.

Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Awas Yojana has been already ended by Yogi Adityanath government.Yogi Adityanath decided to implement the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana instead to Samajwadi Awas Yojana in Uttar Pradesh to provide affordable housing to the poor.

Under the Samajwadi Awas Yojana, a two-bedroom flat was provided to the middle and lower income group families living in cities across Uttar Pradesh.The former government had set a target to build 3 lakh flats under the scheme but the progress was very slow. The Yogi government ordered a probe to ascertain why there was so much delay in implementation of the project
